The world can be a chaotic world. It is fast-paced, and you will be required to keep up with it. Otherwise, you will be left behind. And being left behind can be frustrating. In other scenarios, keeping up with a chaotic world can mean that you will have to lose your sanity — something that you obviously do not want to happen.
Yes, the world can be chaotic. But who says that it is not possible to find peace? Peace is always possible, especially if you yearn for it. You will need to take or exert some effort to make it happen. But do not stress out. Do not force yourself. Just relax.
If you are looking for some ways to find peace, just look around you. Every situation provides you with a chance to feel calm and stay relaxed. If you find it quite difficult, here are some of the things that you may want to keep in mind.
1. Find a good hobby
A good hobby will keep you entertained. And when you are entertained, you will feel calm and in your zone, which actually equates to that peaceful feeling. There are some hobbies that you can do on your time and you can do it even wherever you go. One of the most popular hobbies that give you peace of mind would be reading. If you want to do something that will help you come up with an output, you can go for knitting or crocheting. You can even create your own sweater, scarf, and even cardigan.
2. Talk to your friends
If you feel stressed and anxious, help can always be found in your friends. All you need to do is just give them a call. Some of them will surely respond because they want to hang out with you. You can even organize a dinner or a Friday night out. If you want to break out of your routine meet-ups, why not organize a brunch? Waking up and looking forward to such gathering is exciting.
Stillness can help you feel relaxed and peaceful. What you need to do when stress takes a toll on you is to always find a place to meditate. If you are in the city, you can find a park where you can people-watch and be alone with your own thoughts. If you want to take it a step further, you can practice yoga. You can do yoga even in your living room.
4. Go travel
Traveling gives you a lot of things to ponder. At the same time, it gives you the peace of mind that you are looking for. This is something that you can achieve when you travel on your own — you may discover a lot of good things about you. If you want a great holiday with some religious dimensions, why not go on a Mormon-oriented vacation?
These are just some of the things to keep in mind if you want to find peace of mind. But make sure that you do not force it.

During her time in university as a research assistant for a sociology professor, she realized she can’t fully understand cultures from a safe distance. She quit her job to become a full-time “voluntourist,” which brings her to places where she can immerse in local communities and support their causes. On top of writing, one of Bonnie’s priorities is offering women advice on how to stay safe while solo backpacking.
