“After 2 years studying at Laval University we went back to Chili with my wife for 1 month of vacations. We made some calls in order to organize a 3 days adventure at “Nevados de Chillan†(snowed of Chillan) to stay at the “valle de aguas calientes†(spring waters valley) and to hike the old Chillan volcano (3122 m.). César Segovia (a very good friend and old workmate) and his wife Karin were our guides as always. We were 12 people, but only 6 of us hiked the volcano, 2 of them from Québec who went with us to know Chili. My wife had some difficulties hiking the volcano… few weeks later we would know that she was pregnant. An excursion that I’ll never forget.
Here is my lovely wife carrying my sister’s backpack and also our baby.” - Daniel

“We went on the 06′ Summer to this well known rock climbing spot near the Frey Shelter in Bariloche-Argentina, basically to do some rock climbing. The thing is: you need to hike hard to get there (it’s about 6 hours with 30Kg on your back) but the scenery really pays for your efforts.” - Luciano

“In this photo, Rich is looking up at the peaks surrounding Bighorn Park, which is along the Mt. Whitney Trail between Whitney Portal and Mount Whitney. This 22 mile (11 miles from trailhead to the top) trip can be done in a long day hike, which we did a few years before this, but this time we took it easy and we were on the trail for a total of three days. It was a great trip; we camped at Trail Camp, made it to the top of Mt. Whitney without any problems and enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the way.” - Ben

“I’m working for an outdoor centre, and one of the many things we do is an expedition, with an overnight camp.. These kids came from London, and was there first experience ever with the outdoors, not to mention the big walk and camping outside! They experienced one off the coldest nights aswell! With minus 5 degrees!.. It was hard for them, but they enjoyed it!! A life time experience!” - Marieke

“This is a self-portrait taken on my John Muir Trail thru hike a couple years ago. We were climbing Forester Pass, the highest pass along the entire JMT (and the PCT) at over 13,000′. I stopped to look at the view behind me from a ridge below the pass, looking north, as clouds began to envelope the canyon. It was an awesome moment!
Taken via tripod and self-timer with a Canon Elan 7; Fuji Velvia 50 film; Canon 17-40mm lens; Hoya Moose warming circular polarizer filter; 2-stop soft GND filter.” - Buck
